Newcastle United finally have a new owner in real life in Mohammed bin Salman, who is one of the wealthiest people in the world. This of course opens up a new opportunity in a Newcastle United Career Mode in FIFA22: using a big financial takeover. You will be looking at three options: 100 million, 500 million or 1 billion. Now to keep it somewhat realistic and not instantly buy Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé, I will suggest six transfers to sign in the first season(s). These are players who are mostly just above Newcastle United’s current level and can be a great stepping stone before you start signing the biggest players and talents in the world.
- Aurelien Tchouameni – AS Monaco
First up is Tchouameni, who is growing very well at Ligue 1 side AS Monaco currently. The central midfielder is an important part in the current Starting XI of Monaco and is one of the biggest French talents in the world. His value at the start of a Career Mode save is €28M and will instantly be a big improvement to Newcastle’s current midfield with his 79 rating and 85 potential. He also has quite a good generic face, despite not having a face scan:
- Dwight McNeil – Burnley
The second recommended transfer is Dwight McNeil, who is one of the best players at Burnley. Having played at the Clarets for a couple of seasons now, McNeil is (almost) ready for a next step and going to Newcastle United wouldn’t be that bad of an idea. The leftmidfielder is 77 rated and has 83 potential at the start of a new save and can compete with Saint-Maximin for the leftwing spot, or you can try either player on the other wing and create a dynamic duo on the wings.
- Amine Gouiri – OGC Nice
Gouiri has had a good start to the current season at Ligue 1 side Nice and could be looking for a potential move to a Premier League side if he keeps his current form up. Newcastle United is also looking for a proper striker as they currently have Callum Wilson, Joelinton and Dwight Gayle as the main options. Gouiri could be just that and the 21-year-old starts off at a 78 rating and has 85 potential at the start of a Career Mode. Highly recommended to play him alongside fellow Frenchman Saint-Maximin.
- Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace
Zaha was rumoured to make a move for a longer period now but never seemed to be able to make his move elsewhere. Still stuck at Crystal Palace, Zaha might be looking for a new adventure before Crystal Palace gets into the lower ends of the league table. The 28-year-old is 82 rated and can play almost anywhere in attack, as a CF, on both wings and at striker. I would even suggest to try him at CAM and make him a fun number 10 (he also has 5* skillmoves!)
- Tosin Adarabioyo – Fulham
Apart from the attack and midfield, Newcastle could also do with some defensive improvements. Adarabioyo is 74 rated and has 82 potential at the start of a new Career Mode and is currently with Fulham in the Championship. A good step up for him could be to move to Newcastle United and help develop both himself and the club!
- Altay Bayindir – Fenerbahce
Newcastle United could also do with an upgrade in the goalkeeping area and Bayindir could be the perfect fit. The 23-year-old has developed very well at Fenerbahce over the last few seasons and is due to a move to a bigger side very soon. With Newcastle United on the rise, there might not be a better opportunity for him to join Newcastle. Bayindir is 77 rated and has 84 potential at the start of a new save!
