FIFA 22 CUSTOM LEAGUES

Custom leagues are something that can make FIFA feel fresh again and allows for a lot of creativity. Custom leagues also give teams that are fun to use but are in a boring league a purpose. That’s why I made a list of 10 custom leagues that could be an interesting new save. I tried to give every team a list but unfortunately not every team is used. I hope you enjoy this post and make sure to leave your favourite custom league in the comments below after reading it. Now, let’s go to the first league!

Alps League

First on the list we have the Alps League. The name might suggest it already but this league has teams that are based in the Alps. Some of these teams might be an hour drive from the Alps, but I needed some of these teams to fill up the league. For this example I used the Serie A (Italian League) as the league where it takes place. You can do it differently with less or more teams, but I think this is the best option.

Americas Super League

The second league on the list is the Americas Super League. This league will contain the best teams from the Americas, which are basically the best teams from the North and South America continents. Unfortunately, teams that are not in a specific league can’t be added. So Bolivian teams or Chilean teams are not added. You can change some teams if you’d like but this list is made so that every country has some of their best teams (by FIFA rating) in the league. The league that will be used is the MLS, mainly because they have the most spots. If you like a continental trophy I’d recommend putting these teams in the Brazilian league. You would need to remove some teams from the list then though, as the Brazilian league doesn’t have 27 teams.

Asian Super League

The third league on the list is the Asian Super League. This league is very similar to the Americas Super League, but instead of teams from the Americas we use teams from Asia. This list will also include a few Australian teams. The main reason behind this is that I wanted to include as many nations in these leagues and the only way for me to add Australian teams was to view them as Asian teams. The league used can be the J-League or the Japanese league. This league contains 20 teams meaning we can add the most amount of teams possible. You can do this in any kind of league but I recommend the Japanese league.

Beneliga

Some of you might have already heard of this, the Beneliga. The Beneliga is a plan where the Eredivisie and Jupiler Pro League get combined, so basically the Belgian and Dutch teams will play in the same league. You can implement the Beneliga in two ways. You can do it in the Jupiler Pro League. This league has a fun system but only allows 18 teams. The other version is to put them in Ligue 1 and 2. This adds the relegation/promotion into the save which will make it more interesting. In order to fill up the leagues, 4 teams do have to be added into this league. On the list, the teams used are teams that are located the closest to either Belgium or the Netherlands.

Iberian League

The Iberian League is a league that contains all countries that speak Spanish and Portuguese. Spain and Portugal are the countries that fall under the term Iberian. In order to fill up the league and add some more competitive teams, I decided to add Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries as well. This includes Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. This league will take place in the Spanish leagues. The broadcast package will add another dynamic and more teams can be included due to having two leagues.

Islands League

The Islands League is one of the smaller leagues. I could’ve made this really big if I considered the United Kingdom as an Island but I didn’t. This league will have 10 teams that are based on Islands while most teams they play are on the mainland. This league will be replacing the Irish League. Ireland is also an Island so I found this a fitting choice.

Mediterranean League

The Mediterranean League will be a league filled with teams from Mediterranean countries. These countries include: Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Sampdoria, Monaco, Spain and Turkey. The teams used are all close to the Mediterranean sea. So teams like AC Milan who are more land inwards aren’t used. The teams Lazio (Latium) and AS Roma (Roma FC) are on this list, but if you prefer not to use fake teams I would recommend replacing these teams with UD Las Palmas and UD Tenerife. These teams are not really Mediterranean but are close to the sea and relatively close to the Mediterranean sea. The same counts for Cadiz CF who will appear on the list. This league will replace the teams in the Spanish Divisions. Extra note: Dinamo Zagreb was added to fill it up. Zagreb is not close to the sea.

Scandinavian League

The Scandinavian League will, as the name says, contain Scandinavian teams. This list will not contain all the Scandinavian teams, as it will only contain the best teams (based on FIFA rating) from each country. The reasoning for this is that every country has a fair amount of teams representing them. The league will be played in the Allsvenskan. This is the Swedish League. The reasoning for this choice is that this league has the most European spots out of the leagues represented in Scandinavian countries.

Slavic League

The Slavic League is a league that will contain all the Slavic countries. Many eastern European countries fall under the term Slavic. I’ve put all the best Slavian teams in this league. The teams are mainly based on the overalls FIFA gave them. The Slavic League will be put in the Polish League. The Polish League contains 18 teams which makes this the best option.

Super League

Everyone who is reading this has probably heard of the Super League before. A competition with the best of the best. This Super League is slightly different, instead of replacing the Champions League we are replacing the Premier League. The best of the best will compete in this Super League to become the best. As said this league will be played in the Premier League and all other English leagues. This means that there will be 92 teams in this custom league. Obviously, this is by far the biggest league. Because this league is so popular, it has already been made by multiple, including @FIFACMTips. That’s why I used his Instagram graphic for this list.
